I first heard Trees on Rockstar: INXS. I loved Marty before that night - but hearing this original song just blew me away. It was just so much better than any of the others. It was this song that made me check out the Lovehammers website and google Marty Casey, which brought me to the org, etc., etc. If this is what he was writing - I wanted to hear more! Since then, I've heard him play it live several times. And I love the LH version so much more than the first one I heard, especially when they start it acoustic. I will say that it is not my favorite LH song, but I still love to hear it because it brings me back to how and why I found LH in the first place.

the first time i here this song was on rockstar, it remindes me of when marty asked everyone if they wanted to here it acoustic or elec., then he smashed his guitar. my gina loves this song,

The first time I heard Trees was on RSINXS. I thought OMG~This dude wrote this great song, sings it perfectly and is sooo HOT. He is a Rockstar!!!

I'm glad Marty choose this to sing on the show.......It's a catchy and stick in your head song. It's not my favorite but a great sing along song. Love the guitar in this song and love watching how much fun Marty has on stage with this and seeing the countless times he has pulled up the children during this song is priceless!

My hubby liked Marty from the beginning, but also liked JD's sound.  I was home one day painting my living room wall and, I decided to have my hubby replay both original songs without looking at the TV screen just to be sure it was the song itself I was liking and not just being partial to Marty's hotness. After listening to the song umpteen times back to back I was not just still a Marty fan, but I was more of a Marty fan.  Oh and just for the record, seeing Marty with the can do it “acoustic or electric” moment will be forever etched in my brain.  This is the song that of course made Marty Casey a common name in my household. I not only found myself singing the song, but my 5 and 10 year old were also singing it nonstop, that is until they heard Mr. Brightside.  It is just a fun, catchy song, that will always remind me of the Rockstar shows and seeing Marty grace my screen that summer.
